When you sell items to Vintage with Love, you’re agreeing to the terms below.
Nothing scary - just a little clarity so everyone knows what’s what and stays happy.

Submissions

All items must be submitted via our online submission form prior to drop-off.
A maximum of 15 items per submission is permitted.
Submitting items does not guarantee acceptance.
Vintage with Love reserves the right to decline any item at its discretion.

Drop-Off & Evaluation

Items may only be dropped off after approval (please no surprise drop-offs)
Approved items can be dropped at either our Cape Town or Johannesburg store.

Every piece is assessed in person with care and intention, based on:

Condition (well-loved but still fabulous)
Brand
Style
Seasonality
(We prioritise items bought within the last 3 years.)
Current store needs
No summer dresses in winter, and no winter coats in summer — timing is everything!

Evaluation can take up to 7 days while we give each piece the attention it deserves.

*Please note: items dropped off without prior approval cannot be accepted, and Vintage with Love can’t take responsibility for them.

Offers

If your items are a good fit, we’ll be in touch via email with an offer.
Offers may be:
- a cash offer, or
- a consignment option
All offers are made at our discretion, based on what works best for the store (and the item!).

Cash Offers

Cash offers are paid via bank transfer only.
Once accepted, payment will be processed within 5-7 working days.
Accepted cash offers are final.

Consignment

Consignment terms are discussed and agreed per item.
Percentages and timelines depend on value, category, and demand.
Consignment items remain yours until sold.
Once sold, we split the profit 50% to you and 50% to charity.

Declined Items & Collection

If you decide not to accept an offer, items must be collected within 10 days.
Items not collected within this timeframe may be:
- donated, or
- responsibly rehomed, at our discretion.
Sadly, we can’t store items indefinitely - space is precious!

Item Condition & Authenticity

All items must be:
- clean
- authentic
- in good, wearable condition
Any items found to be counterfeit or misrepresented will not be accepted.
